Syntphony profiles

Syntphony, much like SharePoint, primarily encompasses three distinct user types:

Visitors

These are reader users who solely consume the intranet’s content. They do not have the capability to publish any content within the intranet. To access the functionalities provided by Syntphony, it is imperative that every visitor user is included in the “Syntphony Users” group. Failure to include a user with read permissions in this group will result in the omission of Syntphony’s components and functionalities, thereby depriving them of the complete experience.

Contributors

These users possess the authority to create, edit, manage, and delete content within the intranet. Syntphony allows for customization of available creation actions for each contributor.

Administrators

These users wield absolute control over the intranet. They can create, edit, manage, and delete content, and additionally, have the capacity to alter community settings and access all associated content. While these roles are generally assigned at the community level, permission inheritance can be broken down to lower levels (such as lists, libraries, folders, files, etc.) to configure more specific permissions.
