Community Header

ℹ️

Audience: This article is intended for community owners and administrators

The community header is a key component located at the top of every community page. It serves as a central point for community identification, navigation, and interaction.

Header Types

Syntphony offers two distinct header styles to suit different needs:

Compact Header

As the name implies, the compact header provides a streamlined view, focusing on essential information like the community name and image. It does not include a background image or a navigation menu.

Extended Header

This header offers a richer visual experience. It includes a customizable background image and a navigation menu, allowing for greater personalization and easier access to community resources.

Key Elements and Features

The header incorporates several elements:

  • Community Identity: Displays the community’s Name and Image for easy recognition.
  • Engagement: Shows the Followers Count and includes a Follow Button for users to easily join or leave the community.
  • Customizable Background: (Extended Header only) Allows owners to set a unique background image, enhancing the community’s visual identity.
  • Navigation Menu: (Extended Header only) A customizable menu providing links to important community pages, documents, or external resources.
  • Actions Menu (···): Accessible via the three dots icon, this menu offers different options:
    • For Owners/Admins: Edit navigation (see Configuration below).
    • For All Users: Access the Community Details panel and open the Feedback panel to share thoughts about the community.

Configuration (Owners & Admins)

Community owners and administrators have specific controls:

  • Change Background Image: (Extended Header only) By clicking the pencil icon in the top-right corner, owners can enter edit mode to upload a new background image and adjust its focal point for optimal display.

  • Edit Navigation Menu: (Extended Header only) Select Edit navigation from the Actions Menu (···). This opens a panel where navigation links can be added, removed, or reordered.
