Activity Center
Audience: This article is intended for Syntphony users
Overview
The Activity Center is a Syntphony feature that provides centralized access to all relevant notifications and updates. This hub displays alerts about users, communities, and content you follow, helping you stay informed of important changes and activities.
Accessing the Activity Center
The Activity Center is located in the user menu, accessible from your profile image in the navigation bar.
Notification System Structure
The Activity Center (as configured by your administrator) consists of two distinct mailboxes:
Priority Mailbox
- Used for actions requiring immediate attention or important events
- Displays a numbered bubble on your profile image showing the count of unread notifications
- When accessing the user menu, it indicates the number of notifications and, if organized by categories, shows which categories have notifications and how many
Non-Priority Mailbox
- Used for less urgent notifications
- Displays a bubble without a number on your profile image when notifications are present
- In the user menu, simply indicates the presence of notifications with a bubble
Viewing Notifications
When you open the Activity Center, the ten most recent notifications are displayed by default. Unread notifications appear in bold text for easy identification.
Navigation and Filtering
Category Navigation
If the Mailbox is organized by categories, you can:
- Switch between categories using the category chips at the top of the notification list
- See at a glance which categories have pending notifications and how many
Event Filtering
You can filter notifications by event type, helping you focus on specific activities or updates that matter most to you.
- If categories are enabled: Event type filters appear in a dropdown menu within each category chip
- If categories are not enabled: Event type filters are accessible through a dedicated filter button
