Fixings
ADDONS
Publication and expiration date calendars now display correctly
FIXING
The layout of the calendars used to select publication and expiration dates has been adjusted so that the right-hand side no longer extends outside its intended area. Contributors can now select dates from a correctly aligned and easier-to-use calendar.
Editing content from an additional form now preserves existing field values
FIXING
When contributors edit a news item using an additional form, existing field values are now preserved unless they are intentionally changed. Previously, some fields could be saved with an empty value, causing content data to be lost. This fix makes editing workflows safer and prevents unintended changes.
Date columns now receive the correct default value during community provisioning
FIXING
When administrators provision a community, date-type columns now receive the expected default value. This ensures that newly created communities start with a consistent configuration and reduces the need for manual corrections after provisioning.
Failed news creation no longer leaves an incomplete page
FIXING
If an error occurs while creating a news item, the related page is now rolled back correctly. Previously, a failed operation could leave an incomplete page behind. This keeps content libraries clean and allows contributors to retry the creation process without having to remove leftover pages manually.
Guest users are no longer shown in community form people selectors
FIXING
Guest accounts are now hidden from the people selectors used in community forms. This prevents unsupported selections from causing errors during community creation and helps administrators complete the process more reliably.
DASHBOARD
Dashboards now remain available when a video URL is invalid
FIXING
Dashboards now continue to load when a video contains an incorrectly formatted URL. Previously, an invalid video URL could prevent the entire Dashboard from being displayed. With this fix, users can still access the rest of the Dashboard content while administrators or contributors correct the affected video configuration.
Dashboard errors no longer remain stored in the browser cache
FIXING
The Dashboard cache is now refreshed correctly after a loading failure. Previously, an error could remain visible even after the underlying problem had been resolved, requiring users to clear their browser cache manually. Users can now return to the Dashboard and see the recovered content without additional troubleshooting.
Clearing the Dashboard cache now shows a confirmation message
FIXING
Administrators now receive a confirmation message after clearing the cache from the Dashboard settings. This provides immediate feedback that the action has been completed successfully, avoiding repeated attempts and making Dashboard maintenance clearer and more predictable.
The “I’m following” view now loads correctly
FIXING
The “I’m following” view in the Dashboard on a page now loads correctly for all users. Previously, some users encountered an error when opening this view. With this fix, users can reliably access the content they follow directly from the page.
MAIN MENU
Main Menu changes are now reflected correctly
FIXING
The Main Menu cache is now refreshed when an item is modified or its settings are saved. Previously, users could continue seeing outdated navigation information. Contributors and administrators can now trust that menu changes become available as expected.
Navigation cache updates are now more efficient
FIXING
The process used to refresh navigation data has been optimized to remove outdated entries in controlled batches and automatically expire them when appropriate. This reduces unnecessary load on the platform while helping users see current navigation information more consistently.
PERFORMANCE
Data service connections are now more reliable during high demand
FIXING
The initialization process for the platform’s data service has been improved to handle connections and temporary request limits more effectively. This reduces connection errors during busy periods and provides administrators and users with a more stable experience.
SEARCH
Filters now work correctly in external Search verticals
FIXING
Filters configured for external Search verticals are now applied as expected. Users can narrow the results correctly and find information more efficiently, regardless of whether the content comes from an external source.
PDF documents now open correctly from Search suggestions
FIXING
PDF documents selected from Search suggestions now open in the intended preview panel. Previously, clicking a suggested PDF did not display the document correctly. Users can now review files directly without leaving the Search experience.
SETTINGS
The Syntphony Settings button now remains consistently available
FIXING
The Syntphony Settings button no longer appears and disappears intermittently. Administrators can now access the product configuration whenever needed, providing a more predictable and reliable management experience.
Fallback images now load correctly across web parts
FIXING
Fallback images are now displayed when the configured image cannot be loaded in affected web parts. This prevents empty or broken visual areas and gives users a more consistent presentation of content.
USER EXPERIENCE
Cards now align with SharePoint’s updated styles
ADAPTIVE MAINTENANCE
Card layouts have been adjusted to remain compatible with SharePoint’s updated visual styles. This prevents layout inconsistencies and ensures that users see cards with the intended spacing, alignment, and appearance across the platform.
