APP LAUNCHER

The App Launcher is now easier to use for everyone

USER EXPERIENCE

The App Launcher has been improved so that everyone can use it comfortably, including people who browse without a mouse or use a screen reader:

  • All options can be reached and used with the keyboard alone, and the option you are on is always clearly highlighted.
  • Screen readers now describe the options more clearly, including when you reorganize your applications.
  • The App Launcher adapts better to different screen sizes.

The Community Header is now more accessible

IMPORTANT

The Community Header now works better with screen readers and keyboard navigation: the community title, the followers count, the Follow button, the More options button and the community navigation are described clearly to assistive technologies. To benefit from these improvements in the headers that are already configured, administrators need to apply a few manual changes to their saved designs. The steps are detailed in the POST Deployment page of this version.


The Main Menu is now accessible

USER EXPERIENCE

The Main Menu has been reviewed and improved so that everyone can use it, including people with visual impairments or who browse without a mouse:

  • Links that take you to another website are now clearly marked, so you know in advance that a new tab will open.
  • The selected option stands out more clearly, making it easier to see where you are.
  • Moving through the menu with the keyboard now follows a natural, logical order.
  • When the page is zoomed in a lot, the menu adapts to the screen and its options no longer overlap.

ANALYTICS

More realistic measurement of user sessions

ANALYTICS

Syntphony Analytics now measures user visits in a way that better reflects how people really use the platform:

  • A visit continues while the user is active, even if they open the intranet in several tabs.
  • A visit ends only after a period without activity, 30 minutes by default. Each organization can adjust this time.
  • Changing this time in the future does not alter visits that were already recorded.

As a result, organizations get a clearer and more trustworthy picture of how often and for how long people use the platform.

User totals are now reported every day

ANALYTICS

The nightly process that prepares analytics data has been renewed and made more robust. Previously, on some days the total number of users could appear as zero, which also distorted related figures such as the percentage of active users. Administrators can now rely on these figures every day.

Communities now record their creation date

ANALYTICS

Syntphony now saves the date on which each community is created. This makes it possible to analyze how communities grow and evolve over time.

A more stable and reliable platform

IMPROVEMENT

This version includes a broad set of improvements focused on stability and reliability, together with fixes across different features. Users will encounter fewer errors and enjoy a smoother experience, even when many people are using the platform at the same time.

Faster Dashboard and settings at busy times

IMPROVEMENT

The Dashboard and the platform settings now load faster and more consistently when many people are connected. Configuration changes made by administrators are also reflected across the whole platform more quickly.

Announcement summaries are updated correctly

FIXING

When the summary of an Announcement is edited, the new text is now saved and displayed as expected. Previously, the old summary could remain visible after the change.


ANALYTICS

Analytics now records the page where each action happens

ANALYTICS

Syntphony Analytics now records the page from which users perform each action. Previously, this information was not being saved. Organizations can now better understand how people move around the intranet.


DEPLOYMENT

Platform extensions are configured correctly during installation

FIXING

The installation process now configures the platform extensions correctly regardless of the language of the site, and only applies changes when they are needed. If a manual action is ever required, the installation now explains clearly what to do. Installations and updates complete more reliably.


NOTIFICATIONS

Reminder emails for unread notifications are back

FIXING

Users once again receive a summary email reminding them of notifications they have not read yet. The reminder is sent periodically, according to the frequency configured by the administrators, so that no important notification goes unnoticed.


Security groups can be selected in large organizations

FIXING

When choosing who can see QuickLinks, administrators can now search for and select security groups, even in organizations with a very large number of groups. This makes it easier to show each link to the right audience.


SETTINGS

New card designs can be created from Settings

FIXING

Creating a new card design from Syntphony Settings no longer shows an error or closes the configuration panel. Administrators can now create and customize card designs without interruptions.
